Stock photos of the Mexican mining ghost town of Real de Catorce, San Luis Potosi, Mexico. Real de Catorce became a virtual ghost town during the early part of the 20th century. However, it remains a pilgrimage site for the Huichul people who consider the surrounding area sacred and for Catholics who revere the statue of Saint Francis of Assis in the parish church. This remote town reached by a 1.5 mile long tunnel has also become a popular destination for travelers.
