The Legacy Carving Project was initiated by the Vancouver School Board in order to honour truth and reconciliation.They partnered with local Indigenous artists to carve one 44-foot Reconciliation Pole and two Welcome Figures, which were unveiled on June 19, 2019, on the grounds of the Vancouver School Board Education Centre.
